Douglas Fir / Pseudotsuga Menziesii

Here is a Douglas Fir Sprig. These branches remind me of when I was a teen living on an island. At one point, I lived in a house that had a huge network of very overgrown old logging roads behind it. My friends and I would walk back there. One day, they started cutting all the trees down. It seemed like it happened really fast, like over the span of a week. I remember walking through the cut down trees feeling shocked and a bit devastated. At one point I lat down in a bed of soft fir branches and just hung out there for a while. It felt like a soft cradle. It made me feel extra bad because my species has just decimated this tree, it was still giving me comfort.
